About stafford yAMAHA MUSIC SCHOOL

At Stafford Yamaha Music School, we have dedicated teaching studios for the Yamaha courses which hold a maximum of 8 students at a time. Each student is provided with their own Yamaha instrument (keyboard or guitar) that they will use in the studios throughout the courses.

Since 2008, we have taught students of all ages to play and enjoy their chosen instrument. As with all Yamaha courses, the focus is always on ‘fun’ and our teachers work hard to deliver lessons that are enjoyable with a number of different activities in each one hour lesson. Students learn to play solo, as a band, read music, understand rhythms, and if they wish, they can also take examinations with Rock School. (Now RSL Awards).

Each year there are opportunities to perform live at local venues, including Stafford Gatehouse Theatre and St Mary’s Church.

About yamaha music schools

Yamaha has a very unique approach to teaching and learning and we are very proud to be a Yamaha Music School. This enables us to deliver exciting and innovative courses with a balanced, fun curriculum which aims to give students a love of music for life. Since the opening of the first Yamaha Music School in 1954 in Japan, the teaching techniques and courses available continue to evolve and develop and now Yamaha courses can be found within Yamaha Music Schools and partnerships worldwide.

About our teachers

All of our teachers are fully DBS checked and must complete an intensive training course with Yamaha Music Schools before teaching any of the Yamaha Courses. Teachers receive further training each year to keep updated and ensure we are providing the highest quality tuition we possibly can.

The Yamaha Teaching Method uses the same principles that are used when a child learns to speak and read.
